SUMMARY:Bloody Gold Revisited
DESCRIPTION:Join us for an afternoon of laughs and guffaws on Sunday\, July 17th at 2:00 pm at the Heritage Art Gallery at THM for a very special installment of our 'Sunday @ 2' program with Don LeBaron\, "Bloody Gold Revisited."\n\n \n\nIn 1983\, when home video camcorders were the new craze for the general public\, a small group of friends\, led by Don LeBaron and Jim Hitchcock\, set out to make an "epic" home movie. The result was "Bloody Gold"\, a silent spoof of old time Western films.\n\n \n\nMany Tulareans will remember its red carpet "world premiere" at Joe's Place in Tulare\, followed by its "popular" rental at A to Z Video\, where it flew (or was thrown) off the shelves! \n\nSara Foley of The Hanford Sentinel described the film prior to its opening\, saying "Bloody Gold\, a Half-Vast production\, takes delight in using every clich and special effects trick in the book to cajole its viewers into a visit to the past. The brainchild of Tulare residents Jim Hitchcock and Don LeBaron\, it is a culmination of the little boy spirit in both of them that refused to let loose of Saturday afternoons at the movie theater."\n\n \n\nSo be sure to saddle up your horse and ride on over to THM on the 17th for some popcorn\, a cold drink\, and a good old fashioned Western\, as we revisit this "classic" Tulare movie!
