Situated on Highway 99 in the San Joaquin Valley, 45 miles south of Fresno and 60 miles north of Bakersfield, Tulare's central location makes access throughout the state convenient. Los Angeles, San Francisco and Sacramento are all within a 200-mile, easy driving radius.

Additionally, Tulare's location provides easy access to some of the state's most beautiful landscapes and best recreational areas. Just to the east lie the Sierra Nevada Mountains and Sequoia and Kings Canyon National Parks. To the west is the spectacular beauty of the Central Coast.
