    LEMOORE, CA – (July 27, 2017) – The Tachi Yokut tribe held a groundbreaking ceremony today to kick off construction of a new $23.5 million entertainment center featuring movie theaters, a bowling alley, billiards room, arcade and concourse, bar and concessions. The center is schedule to open in October 2018.
    The 88,350 square foot entertainment center will feature a state-of-the-art, 27,309 square foot movie theater including eight screens. The 29,022 square foot bowling alley will include 30 lanes. A 4,214 square foot arcade will be home to 38 arcade games, and a 3,570 square foot billiards room will include 10 tables. In addition the entertainment complex will include 15,294 square foot concourse, bar and concessions area in which to get cocktails and refreshments.
    “Today marks an exciting day as we celebrate the start of construction of a new entertainment center at Tachi Palace Hotel and Casino,” said Ruben Barrios, Chairman of the Tachi Yokut Tribe. “It was a pleasure to celebrate with more than 350 members of the tribe and our community.”
    The day’s events, emceed by Chairman Barrios, included a blessing by Mike Sisco, Spiritual Leader and songs by the Tachi Yokut Spiritual Group and Native American H.O.O.P.S. Club. Also addressing the attendees was Willie Barrios, General Manager, Tachi Palace Hotel & Casino, Bill Davis, Assistant General Manager, Tachi Palace Hotel & Casino, Adam Mays, President of A.R. Mays Construction and Weston Anderson, District Representative with Senator Andy Vidak. The Tachi Yokut Tribal Council was also in attendance.
    The new center, designed by FFKR Architects, will create more than 70 full and part time jobs.
    Currently Tachi Palace Hotel & Casino is home to 2,000 gaming machines, 24 table games, 7 poker tables, 255 guest rooms, a spa, five restaurants, and 6,000 square feet of meeting space, employing more than 1,200 people.
