  • The Ambassadors are business leaders who are committed to helping the Tulare Chamber of Commerce fulfill its mission to serve its members and citizens by advocating for, and engaging in, efforts to encourage economic opportunity and business prosperity. Ambassadors are the backbone of the Chamber volunteer force and a premier business-networking program.

    Ambassador membership is open to employees of all members of the Tulare Chamber of Commerce.

    What is an Ambassador?
    A person who acts as a representative or promoter of a specified activity. Tulare Chamber of Commerce Ambassadors are:

    • Among the most informed citizens in our business community;
    • Among the most engaged citizens in our business community;
    • Intimately familiar with and able to articulate the mission, message, and purpose of the  Chamber;
    • Able to commit time to support the Chamber.


    What is the mission of the Ambassador program?
    To assist the Chamber in reaching its goals of advocacy, economic development, networking and member services.


    Who should be an Ambassador?

    • Understand the mission and message of the Chamber.
    • Understand membership and partnership levels and benefits.
    • Comfortable networking and making introductions.
    • Interested in local current events.
    • Interested and invested in the vitality of our local economy.
    • Committed to membership retention and outreach via phone, personal contact, and email.
    • Enhancing member engagement through professional channels, i.e. invitations to colleagues.
    • Comfortable with public speaking (highly encouraged).

     

    What are the responsibilities of all Ambassadors above and beyond Team participation?

    • Attend at least 8 monthly meetings.
    • Attend at least 1 membership orientation every year.
    • Attend 75% of member-hosted events.
