City of Tulare Announces Reopening of Renovated Zumwalt Park

TULARE, CA – The City of Tulare is proud to announce the reopening of Zumwalt Park, a cherished community space that has undergone extensive renovations to better serve the families and residents of Tulare. The newly upgraded park, located at 455 E. Tulare Avenue, will officially open to the public on Wednesday, June 25, 2025, and will be available for general use daily from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m.

Improvements to Zumwalt Park include the installation of modern play structures and a brand-new splash pad, providing fun and engaging recreational options for children and families throughout the summer and beyond. These additions reflect the City’s commitment to enhancing outdoor spaces that promote wellness, community, and connection.

“This project represents our ongoing investment in the quality of life for Tulare residents,” said City Manager Marc Mondell. “We are thrilled to welcome the community back to Zumwalt Park and look forward to seeing families and friends enjoy this revitalized space.”

Please note that on days when events are scheduled at the Adventist Health Amphitheater, Zumwalt Park will be closed to the general public. Event-specific park closures will be clearly communicated in advance with signage at the park and through the City’s social media channels.

Zumwalt Park's renovation is part of a broader initiative to bring more people downtown as part of our redevelopment efforts and to improve public parks and amenities throughout Tulare, offering residents more opportunities for recreation, relaxation, and community gatherings.
